Adam McArthur was raised in the small town of Pinole, California with his parents and three siblings. Growing up as an 80’s kid, McArthur was always inspired by the classic cartoons on TV. He was always begging his parents for an agent to combine his love for cartoons, acting and voice over. At the age of 16, he finally got his chance and started taking acting classes in San Francisco. His talent quickly grabbed the attention of an agent and went on to book 30 radio commercials over the course of one summer for Macy’s.

As an industry vet with over 25 years in the business, McArthur is currently voicing the main character, Yuji Itadori, in the smash hit anime, Jujutsu Kaisen. The show was recently awarded a Guinness World Record for most in-demand anime and was also the recipient of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, Anime of the Year for 2024. The third season will air in 2025.

McArthur can also be heard as the co-lead, Reno Ichikawa, in Kaiju no. 8. Boasting an impressive first season, Kaiju no.8 is already multi-award winning and the highly anticipated season two will be airing in 2025.

McArthur is also known for his voice work in Disney’s critically acclaimed Star vs The Forces of Evil, Goodbye DonGlees, The First Slam Dunk, Tokyo Revengers, Big City Greens, My Hero Academia, BROATS, Disney’s Chibiverse, and the original animated series The LeBrons, from the mind of the NBA legend LeBron James. He has also lent his voice to many Emmy Award-winning shows, such as Cartoon Network’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Netflix’s The Adventures of Puss in Boots and is currently the voice of Disney XD.

In addition to his voiceover work in television and film, McArthur has also brought his talent to the world of gaming, including WWE 2K24, Ghost Wire Tokyo, Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 and Final Fantasy Type-0, where he plays the mysterious hooded figure known as Joker.

McArthur stays busy outside of acting as a successful entrepreneur. He has owned and operated an event photography company, The Booth and Bus Co., for over a decade. The company offers traditional photo booth design as well as a selection of uniquely designed booths built inside vintage VW buses. They have earned a devoted following of A-list clientele from their work at corporate and entertainment events throughout Los Angeles.

When McArthur isn’t traveling for convention appearances, he enjoys practicing martial arts. He teaches Kung Fu and Judo and regularly trains in Muay Thai. In addition to martial arts, McArthur is a big collector. He loves everything from art to Pokémon and One Piece TCG to vinyl collectibles and comic books. He resides in Los Angeles and you can usually find him in his favorite boba shop.
